25 years ASSA ABLOY & ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems

On Thursday 26 September, ASSA ABLOY and ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems celebrated their 25th anniversary with a Cocktail Dinner in the mythical Chalet Robinson. The employees of both entities, together with the top of the Belgian architectural world, looked back on the many successful achievements of the past few years. In addition, ASSA ABLOY and ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems have also proven to be completely ready for the future.

Safety & security

The ASSA ABLOY Group was formed in 1994 by the merger of two market leaders in the field of locks and security systems: ASSA from Sweden and ABLOY from Finland. Meanwhile, ASSA ABLOY has grown into the world's largest supplier of intelligent locking and security solutions. The group continues to develop and the ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems division was founded in 2006. Here, the focus is on automatic access systems with accompanying service, a unique concept because one needs only one point of contact for everything in the field of access automation. Today, the ASSA ABLOY Group has 48,000 employees, is present in more than 70 countries and its turnover rose to almost 8 billion euros in 2018.

Ready for the future

ASSA ABLOY and ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems are more than ever ready for the future. And that was clearly highlighted during the successful networking event on 26 September. Architects, decision-makers, engineering firms, contractors, big end users, ... everyone loved going to the Chalet Robinson in the Brussels Ter Kamerenbos to look back on great achievements, but all the more so to see what the future holds in store for them. With numerous innovations, extensive digitisation and sustainability in the DNA, both entities, together with their partners, want to continue to set the standard in terms of safety, security and ease of use. And all this under the motto: 'ASSA ABLOY, experience a safer and more open world'.
